About YourSay SASVic
Welcome to YourSay SASVic
Submit your proposal for addressing sexual violence in Victoria.
SASVic needs your help to ensure the voices of victim survivors of sexual violence and the broader community are heard loud and clear by our political leaders. SASVic is inviting the community to put forward proposals for policy change, whether on victim survivor rights or how to prevent sexual violence in the first place.
The platform will be open from Monday 13 October until Sunday 23 November 2025
The proposals submitted via our YourSay platform will then be reviewed by a panel of victim survivors, who will together select one proposal to bring to SASVic. SASVic commits in advance to advocate on the chosen proposal in the lead up to the 2026 Victorian state election.
SASVic is calling for your proposals because we know that victim survivor and community perspectives are key to effective action on preventing, responding to and ending sexual violence in Victoria.
We believe victim survivors should have the right to inform the systems that impact them and YourSay represents one way in which SASVic is seeking to promote this right.
SASVic will announce the chosen proposal on Monday 30 March 2026.

Sexual violence: What do we need to ask the Government to do differently?
On the next page, you'll be asked the questions below as a way to best bring out and fully explain your proposal to others.
- What is your proposal? (1-2 sentences; a basic summary; picture the Premier standing in front of you asking you what you think we should do)
- What is your reason for proposing this? Why do you think this will make a difference? (3-5 paragraphs; help people understand how you came to form this view; if appropriate, personal stories are helpful and welcome here)
- Can you offer any supporting evidence? (This can be based on your experience, or something you have read about happening outside Victoria, or a statistic that supports your proposal and reasoning. Our discussion paper could be helpful for you. Please note that you do not need to disclose any personal experience if you do not wish to.
- Do you want people to consider any other sources or reading? (Insert links: if you were persuaded or want everyone to be aware of a story you have read, then provide a link so they can read that and be on the same page as you)
Our discussion paper has helpful background, facts and figures which you could find useful to develop your proposal - take a look here.
This paper provides information and context to help you develop an idea for preventing, responding to or ending sexual violence in Victoria.
